电影《南极之恋》改编自导演吴有音创作的长篇小说，讲述了婚庆公司老板吴富春和高空物理学家荆如意在南极上空遭遇坠机，两个毫无共同语言的男女，在酷寒冻土、随处都是绝境的南极腹地中，面对伤痛折磨、物资匮尽的困境，两人彼此依存、互生情愫的纯爱故事。。鲁本和卡洛斯是狱中同窗。当鲁本还在努力摸清监狱生活中的条条框框之际，卡洛斯先是成为了他的领路人，而后终成为了他的情人。两人在狱中对彼此产生了难以名状的情感，然而在他们获遭释放后，问题也随之涌现⋯⋯。Jan Sienkiewicz, a writer and lecturer who was expelled from university, takes a job at a Warsaw high school.
