一个小女孩在圣诞节那天被发现死在中西部的一个小镇上。同一天晚上，一个神秘的年轻女人搬到镇上，她被发现不是别人，正是小女孩的鬼魂，决心拼凑自己死亡的模糊记忆。。Dr. Braun is forbidden to practice medicine because he's a Jew living in Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia. He's old, seems resigned about the fate of the Jews, and even works in the Department of Confiscation of Jewish Property. One day a neighbor asks him to assist a wounded political fugitive. Dr. Braun reluctantly operates to remove the bullet, but warns that plenty of morphine ...。
