Merel has no choice but...。故事发生在革命老区江西，五四运动前夕到大革命爆发期间，当地豪绅、镇长何八爷何念祖是一个满口“仁、义、礼、智、信”，面慈心恶的劣绅代表。面对天灾人祸，他表面上悲天悯人，实则趁火打劫，借机放高利贷、收购窑场、兼并农民的土地，陷广大农民、窑工于水深火热之中，阶级矛盾一触即发。。影片《夏日补习班》的故事发生在一个普通而又不平凡的暑假，高中体育老师在这个暑假有十分重大的计划，但是天不遂人愿，他不得不取消掉这个计划转而去教一群笨笨的学生。幸运的是这个老师的教育方式给了他很大的帮助，不同于学校传统的教育，这使得他和学生们之间建立起了微妙的联系，师生关系的接近让他们之间更加亲近，也得到了师生之间的尊敬。影片诙谐幽默，以搞笑的手法表现出了师生之间的关系，虽然看似无厘头，却给观众展现了不一样的师生关系。。
