影片讲述向东（吴宇森）、向明（尹扬明）两个兄弟偷渡到港、闯荡新世界的经历。没有更多成长体验的观众对影片的灰暗基调和伤感主题可能不感兴趣，片中有关内地生活的冷酷描写也没有任何“观赏性”可言，作为一部香港电影，她显得极度不正常，但2004年读到这部拍摄于1990年电影，我们分明嗅到了史诗的味道。编剧南燕，由《监狱风云》到《学校风云》，所走的正是从商业中逃离的路线，《勇闯天下》第一次把视野放到港外，环境对人的压迫力更加沉重，因为表达相对自由，对陈旧体制的批判反比内地历史事件亲历者在统治阶层容许范围内做出的反省更具力度，灰色的北京，作为压在心头的影像，可以将《东宫西宫》、《蓝宇》比下去，仅仅因为这个，本片就非看不可，何况还有英雄导演吴宇森？在《英雄本色》、《辣手神探》中，我们总是嫌他戏份太少，这回不必失望了。。该剧描述80年代南疆战役结束后，一群回国准备提干的准干部遭遇裁军风波，国家选出63个人组成了“特别中队”，在这样一个部队里，一群战士为了特殊的目的而战斗，更经历着一段段朦胧又刻骨铭心的爱情。。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。
