孤独地离开人世的母亲福子（金海淑饰）与无意送别母亲的女儿珍珠（申敏儿饰），她们的重逢得益于母亲获得上天给予的“休假”。母亲在从阴间便一起同行的向导带领下，开始了限期三天的旅行。母亲在这期间一直观察著女儿，女儿虽然看不到母亲却能感受到她就在自己的身边徘徊。这对母女获得了新的沟通机会，她们回顾了过去的时光，也分享了现在的苦乐，一起度过梦幻般的时间。。John Ellman (Boris Karloff) has been framed for murder by a gang of racketeers. He is unfairly tried and despite the fact that his innocence has been proven, he is sent to the electric chair and executed. Dr. Evan Beaumont (Edmund Gwenn) retrieves his dead body and revives it, as part of his experiments to reanimate a dead body and discover what happens to the soul after death....。
